How much does it cost?

We create welcome gifts for just about any price. Through our wholesale contracts, we are able to offer you gifts that fit your needs at a reasonable price. Our design services are free. You only pay for your gifts once you decide to order. Tell us your price range and what you want and we’ll do our best make it happen!

Is there a minimum order requirement?

No. We do all of our printing and designs in house so we do not require a minimum order amount.

When do I need to order?

We ask that customers order at least 30 to 45 days prior to their event. Sometimes we need extra time to get specialty items or personalized products. Last minute ordering is available for events that are less than one month away.

Do you provide gifts for events other than weddings?

Yes! We provide welcome gifts for conferences, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Quinceras, sweet sixteen birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, business meetings, and more!

Can I just order packaging!

Yes! Packaging sets include bag or box, label or tag, tissue paper, ribbon, 2 water bottle labels, and two sheets of coordinating stationery. Sets are $4.50 each. Sets using specialized containers such as baskets, trays, and totes are also available. Please email us for pricing information.

What comes with my order?

Each gift or packaging set comes with bag or box, label or tag, tissue paper, ribbon, 2 water bottle labels, and up to 2 pages of printed material (agenda, directions, community information) per gift.

How much is shipping?

Shipping costs depend on a few factors:

• Your location (our store is located in Seattle, WA)
• Whether we are mailing to a business or a residence
• How many gifts you order
• How quickly you need them
• The way you want them shipped

Gifts can be sent already assembled to a hotel or resort or they can be shipped "ready to assemble" (labels on boxes/bags, ribbon is cut to lengths and items can be easily dropped in). The cost difference is shipping since assembled gifts take up more room than "ready-to-assemble" ones. We can ship completed water bottles with assembled gifts however, due to high shipping costs, most customers prefer to use the water bottle labels we include with the gifts on their own store bought bottled water. They are self-adhesive and fit most standard water bottles.

Generally, we ship via Fed Ex, UPS, or DHL ground service. Some items may require faster shipping (chocolates in the summer months). Shipping to a business is less expensive than shipping to a residence so if you can have your gifts sent to your work or a parent’s office, that will reduce costs somewhat.

I am getting married outside of the US. Do you ship internationally?

We ship to Canada regularly. We can ship to some foreign destinations however, shipping costs are usually very expensive to places like Mexico, The Caribbean, etc. ($200-$300 just for a medium sized package). Most customers needing gifts for foreign destination weddings opt to have items shipped to their home address and then pack the items in a suitcase to take on the airplane. It’s always nice if another friend or relative travelling can take care of this detail for you. Also, be aware (as we are) of restrictions on what you can take overseas. Generally, items we include in gifts for destination weddings are non-edible (lip balm, sun block, sun glasses, soaps, candles, etc). Mints and gum are also generally acceptable.

I have a favorite snack from my hometown – can you get this for me?

Yes! We have included in our gifts items like Jay’s Potato Chips, Moon Pies, Boiled Peanuts, See’s Candies, Malley’s Chocolates, Key Lime Coconut Patties, TastyKakes, Boehm’s Chocolates, and more! There are a few items that we recommend you add on your own if we feel that shipping them will be too damaging (a special cookie from a local bakery).

Can you include visitor’s guides?

Most major cities are kind enough to provide us with up to date visitor’s guides, maps, and brochures at no cost. We pass that along to you. If you would like a guide included, we can get it for you!

How do I give you information for the welcome notes and agenda?

Customers can either have us send blank stationery pages (that match the labels for your gifts) and can print their own information on them at home or they can send us agendas, maps, notes, and directions and we’ll print everything for you. If you only want to include a short welcome note, we’ll print those on small cards to include in your gifts.

What is your return policy?

Returns are accepted within 14 days of receipt. Items must be returned to us in original condition. Refunds are 70% of the total purchase price, less shipping. We retain 30% of the cost due to personalization of items and because foods are ordered fresh for each customer’s gifts. Customers are responsible for shipping and handling charges to return items. You must first contact us at mail@swellsweets.com to obtain a “Return authorization”. Returns sent without authorization will not be accepted. If items are damaged and unusable because of shipping, we will refund you for those items. When we ship, we always include at least 1 extra packaging set just in case a bag or box rips in transit. Cancelled orders will be refunded 100% if cancelled no later than 14 days prior to the event (special circumstances will be considered if cancellations are less than 14 days prior to the event).

How do I pay for my gifts?

Once you are ready to order, our billing department will send you an invoice reflecting the cost of your gifts and shipping as well as the full description of your order. We do our billing through PayPal to ensure a secure transaction for our customers. Please do not send us any credit card information (numbers, security codes, etc) over email. We do our best to keep a secure environment on our email, however, it is NEVER safe to email your personal financial information to anyone. Third party billers, such as PayPal, do not disclose your credit card information to sellers so it is much more secure to pay online via PayPal. If you are unable or do not choose to use PayPal, we do accept checks or money orders for payment. Contact us for mailing information.

Is there anything you cannot include in gift bags?

We do not provide items such as alcohol (including wine and beer), tobacco products, glass bottle beverages or canned beverages. No alcohol and tobacco because those would require us to have an entirely different set of state licenses (and we couldn’t ship to many states anyway) and shipping glass or canned beverages is tricky so we just stay away from those. We would hate to have a broken bottle and wet gifts arrive at your doorstep!
